Château Beaulieu

France

The Beaulieu vineyard rests within the historic Château Beaulieu estate in Rognes en Provence. The vast 300-hectare property is the largest in the Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence appellation of southeastern France.

Literally translating to “beautiful place,” Beaulieu boasts 180 hectares of vines, which rest within La Trévaresse, a dormant volcano. The vines benefit from the Mediterranean climate and the unique composition and diverse range of soils of the terroir, including calcareous clay and volcanic basalt.

Château Beaulieu dates back to the 16th century and was owned by many great families of Provence, all of whom focused on preserving this exceptional property. The same respect for the estate continues today. Managed by Nicole and Pierre Guenant, the Beaulieu winery makes every effort to create supple, aromatic wines that faithfully reflect the terroir.
