Donelli

Italy

Originally enjoyed only locally in the region of Emilia, Lambrusco has received international recognition in recent years. Through research and experimentation, Donelli has been producing wines that have appealed to a wide audience since 1915 when Adolfo Donelli turned his passion into a career. The family firmly believes that one “simply needs to know how to respect and make the most of what is offered by nature, in the conviction that a good winemaker is one who succeeds in immortalizing his land and its values in his wine.” Produced from over 110 hectares of estate-owned vineyards located throughout Emilia in the municipalities of Nonantola, Bomporto, and Sorbara, Donelli combines modern technology with tradition, resulting in products that have garnered acclaim throughout the world and made this an internationally recognized brand.

The Donelli family, like most other Emilians, has been very tied to their territory of Emilia. According to the family, “Lambrusco is a wine which has all the characteristics of the land from which it originates and of the people who make it: it is approachable, sincere, stubborn, energetic and sparkling and knows how to be an exceptional companion for every occasion.”
