Dott. Franco Cesari is a dynamic winemaker who has studied winemaking alongside some of Italy’s most prestigious enologists. Franco followed in the footsteps of his father, Gerardo Cesari, who founded the Cesari winery in the Veneto region of Italy in 1936. Franco took over the winery in the 1960s, and through his diligence and enthusiasm, he expanded Cesari’s operations and entered the export market.
For decades, Franco has overseen the Cesari estate, which includes 100 hectares of land and four prime vineyards: Bosan, Il Bosco, Jèma, and Cento Filari. But he also committed himself to creating a separate brand of elegant, affordable wines: Due Torri.
The Due Torri brand features such favorites as Cabernet, Chardonnay, Merlot, Pinot Grigio, and Pinot Noir. Franco’s skill and artistry are evident in the high quality of these elegant wines, which are suitable for every day consumption. Joined today by his daughter, Deborah, and his son, Gerardo, Franco continues to dedicate himself to creating exceptional wines, balancing traditional and innovative practices.
