Domaine Roux Père & Fils Beaune Montée Rouge AOC

The Montée Rouge vineyard earns its name from the reddish hue in the soil due to the high content of iron. This aromatic wine boasts a bouquet of blackberries and cherries, with mild undertones of truffle, leather, and spices developing with age. Juicy, yet firm, this wine rewards extensive aging, revealing more complexity over time. Fermentation takes place on the lees in French oak barrels. The wine is aged for more than a year in French oak barrels.

This has a firm tannic structure that’s allied to a smoky character. The dry core is bold and offers a counterpoint to the ripe red- and black-plum fruit. For aging over 4-5 years.
