Donelli Lambrusco di Sorbara DOP

The Sorbara strain of Lambrusco is generally regarded as the highest in quality, producing the most aromatic wines in the region. Sourced from the historical Verdeta vineyard located in the village of Sorbara, just north of Modena, a broad & intense bouquet emerges from the glass, with rose petal, violet, and fresh red fruit nuances. Perfectly ripened strawberry flavors burst onto the palate, followed by raspberry compote & floral notes. The acidity is balanced on this red sparkler whose fine, persistent froth tickles the palate. Donelli Lambrusco di Sorbara is a dry rendition of the region’s staple wine. Serve chilled as an aperitif, or pair with any number of pasta dishes.

A firm and focused Lambrusco, colored a light shade of garnet, this offers a rich, smoky base note and flavors of crushed white raspberry and strawberry fruit, with spice and mandarin orange peel accents and a chalky finish. Enjoy this with some salumi. Drink now though 2019.

This dry, red sparkler has enough acidity and fizzy effervescence to cut through local cuisine, such as tortellini with cheese or butter. The bouquet shows red berry, strawberry and blackberry.
