Umberto Cesari MOMA Rosso

Umberto Cesari’s MOMA (“My Own MAsterpiece”) collection is a tribute to the art world and currently features the work “Paper Glass” by Elena Valentini on the label. The label was selected through the My Own Masterpiece art competition for students at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Bologna and at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Ravenna. MOMA Rosso is vinified in stainless steel and aged in Italian oak. This full-bodied wine is well balanced with an abundance of raspberries and a soft, velvety texture. It is the perfect complement to pasta with tomato-based sauces, as well as grilled beef, veal, and poultry dishes.

There’s a soft and plush side to this edition of Moma that comes forward thanks to the extra cinnamon spice and vanilla present on the bouquet. Red berry fruit and cherry add a note of freshness to the finish.

International Wine & Spirits Competition - Silver Medal - Outstanding

Dense dark red. A riot of scents and aromas from the bouquet, which is very expressive and still youthful: smoke and slate, chocolate, faintly herbal big meaty style. Well structured, sleek and savoury, this is perfectly elegant and advanced on the palate, with caramel coated chocolate and liquorice amidst ripe tertiary fruit. It will no doubt age to perfection.

This easy blend of Sangiovese (80%) and Cabernet Sauvignon represents the quintessential pizza wine thanks to its bright acidity that counters melted mozzarella and its easy berry aromas that promise not to overwhelm the other toppings. Cherries and blueberries add zest and freshness.

Moma is a Sangiovese-based wine with elements of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot that lend structure and softness respectively. The nose boasts ripe fruit and loads of oak driven spice, vanilla, clove and cinnamon.

This is a spicy and exotic-tasting red wine from Central Italy with aromas of nutmeg, clove, rose petal and dark forest fruit. The wine is light and compact with refreshing crispness and a touch of chopped mint on the finish. Nice low price too.
